Burns et. al. (2010) publication with Dr. Buckley & Dr. Ramula

Burns, J.H., Blomberg, S.P., Crone, E.E., Ehrlén, J., Knight, T.M., Pichancourt, J-B., Ramula, S., Wardle, G.M. & Buckley, Y.M. (2010).

Evidence consistent with life history tradeoffs in a phylogenetic analysis of terrestrial plant demography.

Journal of Ecology 98: 334-344.

The absolute importance of vital rates to population growth rates (sensitivities) exhibited phylogenetic signal, suggesting that a thorough understanding of life-history evolution might require an understanding of the importance of vital rates, not just their means, and the role of phylogenetic history in shaping plant demographies.
